Position Title: PR & Marketing Consultant – Theatre and Performing Arts
Location: Philadelphia Suburbs - Main Line
Assignment Type: Contract (Through end of September)
Compensation: $24-28/hour
Work Schedule: Approximately ~20 hours/week, Monday–Friday, flexible daytime hours
On-Site or Hybrid: On-site preferred; hybrid flexibility considered

An Addison Group client is looking for a PR & Marketing Consultant – Theatre and Performing Arts!
• Develop and execute marketing and public relations strategies for upcoming performing arts productions
• Research and create press releases, advertising copy, brochures, playbills, e-blasts, and digital content
• Manage and update website and social media platforms to promote upcoming events and audience engagement
• Coordinate one special event (opening night party)
• Lead promotional media buying, including designing and placing ads, managing exchanges, and playbill ad sales
• Supervise the work of a graduate assistant or junior marketing staff
• Ensure consistent branding across all channels and deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Theatre, Communications, Marketing, or related writing-intensive field (strongly preferred)
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• 3–5+ years of experience in marketing/public relations, ideally in the arts or entertainment industry
• Strong writing and editing skills; ability to craft professional press and promotional materials
• Project management experience and ability to juggle multiple deadlines
• Experience supervising junior team members or interns
• Familiarity with promotional design and ad creation (strongly preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (required)
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), desktop publishing, or similar software (preferred)
• Comfortable on both Mac and PC platforms
• Familiarity with website content management, ticketing systems, and social media platforms (preferred)
