The Regional Business Applications Manager oversees the lifecycle of local and regional IT applications, ensuring they align with ANDRITZ IT global governance. This role involves acting as a business consultant, managing end-to-end delivery, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality service. The manager also oversees regional services, manages resources, interacts with vendors, and ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Duties:

  • Manages the entire lifecycle of local / regional IT applications, from development to deployment and maintenance / support according to ANDRITZ IT global application cluster governance
  • Acts as a business consultant supplementing BRM activities to implement fit-for-business-purpose application solutions
  • Manages and supports the end-to-end delivery of regional applications, ensuring quality of service.
  • Coordinates various stakeholders, including business units, developers, and IT operations, to ensure applications align with organizational goals steered by global application cluster
  • Oversees regional application-specific services, ensuring they are delivered in compliance with global governance standards. Manages service delivery to maintain high-quality performance and alignment with organizational objectives
  • Manages regional application resources and employees in the Application Group, while also serving as an administrative manager for global team members
  • Manages the regional application landscape and prioritizes project schedules, delegating tasks based on availability
  • Analyze system or application usage and coordinate appropriate actions based on monitoring results.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system users and appropriate in line with global requirements.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Ensure projects in scope are delivered in time and within budget.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of industry experience in a similar position
  • Project Management experience
  • Understanding/exposure to working in a shared services model and working in virtual teams potentially over time zones
  • Ability to work across teams, groups and functions and to build strong relationships
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • 20% + Travel is expected. Some International travel will be required.
  • On-call availability should be minimal but may be required
  • Weekend and off-hours will be needed based on projects
