Location: Sumter, SC

Job title: Security Supervisor

Type of Position:

Full Time / Exempt Hours: # hours # of Shifts (Saturday and Sunday hours as needed or required.)

General Description:

· Responsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facility

· Learn all the jobs of your immediate staff.

· Ensure completion and accuracy of reports done by staff

· Complete daily and weekly reports as needed

· Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; implement disciplinary procedures when

necessary.

· Resolve employee’s conflicts and issues promptly and objectively.

· Direct communication with company and outside services

· Work in the Order Management System/Shop Floor

· Work with the Plant Shipping/Shag Service/Traffic

· Work with the Traffic Department to coordinate shipping date, times, and locations

· Maintain logs for inbound and outbound trucks

· Attend meetings as scheduled

· Reports to Safety Manager

· Other duties as assigned

Required skills:

· Previous security related experience preferred but not required

· Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required

· 10-key and computer skills required

· Ability to handle conflict

· Ability to think critically and problem solve

· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

· Communication skills—written and verbal

· Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required

· Self-starter and Team player

· Strong leadership / management skills

· Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills

· Reliable attendance record

· Must be able to pass a Background Check

Working Conditions:

· Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions

· Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

· Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time · Lift up to 50lbs. Education Requirements (if applicable) · High School Diploma or GED equivalent
