PROCESSING ASSISTANT IV Positions # 600584
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Seeking applicants for Processing Assistant IV position. The primary responsibility of this position is to independently implement policies and procedures to assess patients' eligibility for sliding scale discount and to collect payment. These tasks are completed for MH, FP, CH, General Clinic, IMM, and Dental programs as well as, Walk-in services. The position must be able to perform all tasks in a timely manner so that clinic flow will move smoothly and efficiently. Position must be able to handle sensitive information with courtesy and tack.
Top candidates for this position are able to follow written policies and procedures to perform work independently, have strong math skills, are organized, articulate, and present themselves professionally & courteously. Must be able to problem solve and work independently following training. Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Availability during emergencies and exercise is required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or GED, and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant or secretarial experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to type/data entry with accuracy and speed required; typing, data entry, and mathematical tests will be given.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Experience in performing similar tasks, use of multiple computer programs, attention to detail, document scanning with meta-data knowledge, bilingual English/Spanish are a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm
HIRING RANGE: $34,143.18 - $35,360.00 (Grade 321 C)
