We have an opportunity for a Marketing Events Manager to join our Cary, NC team. You will play a crucial role in leading, shaping and executing Pentair Pool's flagship event programs, including national and regional trade shows, major conferences, leadership summits, road shows, virtual experiences and webinars, ambassador events, reward travel experiences and proprietary Pentair Pool University training events. The ideal candidate is ambitious and will lead innovative event strategy and programming that will grow the Pentair brand, maximize visibility, deliver return on investment, and drive exceptional, tailored experiences for target audiences. The Pool Marketing Events Manager has the natural ability to motivate cross-functional partners and deliver the highest quality design and event experiences with a hyper focus on lead generation, prospect nurture, and positive ROI. You will:
  • Build, lead, and execute Pentair's event marketing strategy, delivering objective-based, results-driven event plans to increase brand awareness, build customer lifetime value, accelerate pipeline, and drive growth for the Pool BU through the capture of partner leads.
  • Build on a robust events strategy, evaluating and developing processes while also assessing new events that can drive impact and awareness for the company.
  • Lead and innovate the elevation of Pentair University as a marquee program and branded experience in the pool industry that maximizes brand affinity, builds loyalty, and drives profitable growth.
  • Collaborate across sales, marketing, corporate comms and events, customer care and product management to align on stakeholder event goals and bring forth a fresh, proactive approach to ensure these are achieved.
  • Support event-based sales enablement activities for branded events with distribution and retail partners
  • Direct and oversee the entire lifecycle of event planning and execution, ensuring all deadlines are met on time, within budget and deliver clear return on investment.
  • Manage and oversee event properties and inventory, as well as the event marketing budget.
  • Oversee all event logistics including setup, teardown, staffing, schedules, activations, displays, show orders, shipping, and delivery, catering, meeting space planning, and on-site operations.
  • Work closely with Strategic, Demand, and Content Marketing to craft event-related creative briefs, product displays, special promotions, and graphic requests.
  • Ownership of key metrics, post-show evaluations and reporting, measuring ROI and constantly optimizing for improvement and to maximize our brand exposure, product adoption and lead generation.
  • Direct post-event lead nurturing campaigns and customer journeys, working closely with Digital CX, Demand, Email, and Content teams to build email workflows that convert leads into partners.
  • Lead, onboard, and manage all vendor relationships: Provide strategic direction and ensure mutually beneficial performance.
  • Stay current with event marketing and demand strategies, continually seeking and learning new and effective ways to deploy a modern mix of tactics to drive business growth.
  • Responsible for reporting on industry and competitive analysis at trade shows and events
  • Key Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Liberal Arts, or equivalent background
    • 7-10 years' experience and success producing high quality, memorable, and measurable events ranging in size from 50 to 5,000 attendees.
    • 2 years' experience in a leadership role in event management and leading a team.
    • Highly skilled in negotiating contracts, implementing cost-savings initiatives, and leading and managing relationships with a wide range of vendors.
    • An eye for innovation, strategic partnerships, creative attendee journeys and event storytelling
    • Ability to develop effectual, positive relationships across all levels with strong experience presenting and interacting with senior executives.
    • A strong track record of performance excellence, meeting and exceeding business targets and objectives, and course-correcting where needed.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demanding timelines, and projects independently with a high degree of flexibility, tenacity, and resiliency.
    • Desire to develop expert level understanding of brand guidelines and policies.
    • Travel up to 50%, seasonal ebbs, and occasional travel outside of the Monday-Friday business week.
