JOB SUMMARY

As the Director of Information Technology (IT), you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology infrastructure, systems, and operations within our luxury hotel. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our hotel's IT infrastructure, as well as driving technological innovation to enhance the guest experience. You will work closely with other departments to align technology strategies with the overall business objectives of the hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the hotel's goals and objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation, identify opportunities for technological advancements, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated with emerging technology trends and evaluate their applicability to the hotel industry.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the hotel's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, databases, and telecommunications.
  • Ensure the availability, security, and integrity of data, applications, and systems through regular monitoring, maintenance, and backups.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to manage IT-related contracts and relationships.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between various hotel systems, such as property management, guest service, and revenue management systems.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for system optimization and recommend appropriate upgrades or replacements.
  • Establish and maintain IT service standards and processes to deliver exceptional technical support to hotel staff and guests.
  • Foster a customer-centric IT culture, providing training and resources to promote technology adoption and proficiency among employees.
  • Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor and control IT expenses, negotiate contracts, and seek opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or security.
  • Through the use of onsite presence and the use of outside contractors, ensure hotel systems are in good working order 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury hotel industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel technology systems, including property management, point-of-sale, and guest service systems.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, as well as work effectively with external vendors and partners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • The position will require flexible scheduling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs + on a regular and continuous basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. A second language is desirable.
