Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee an 8-week grocery project in Boca Raton. The project involves a grocery store interior retrofit, requiring management of an open store remodel. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising subcontractors on-site to ensure efficient operations while maintaining clear communication with the client regarding project timelines and promptly addressing any issues that may arise. Responsibilities + Manage subcontractors onsite for an open store remodel. + Coordinate with store personnel to ensure smooth project operations. + Oversee the interior retrofit of a Fresh Market. + Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and manage safety protocols. Essential Skills + 10+ years of experience as a construction superintendent or foreman. + Proven commercial construction experience. + Experience in grocery and retail construction, including refrigeration, cooling/insulation, and HVAC plumbing. + Strong communication skills for interacting with store personnel. + OSHA 30 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with renovation and retrofitting projects. + Willingness to travel for potential extended project opportunities. Work Environment The standard work hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, with temporary off-shift work during hours when the store is closed, which will include time and a half. Off-shift work will occur for one week at the start of the project and one week at the end, depending on the schedule. The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Berkley, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
