Hansen Gress is a fast-growing, Alaska-based Managed Services Provider with deep roots in Juneau and active expansion into Anchorage. We’re 23 people today, scaling quickly, and investing in the leadership capacity needed to grow sustainably and serve our clients with consistency and excellence.
We are not a corporate machine — and we don’t want to be. We run lean, trust our team, and believe in leadership that works with the team, not above it. We are relationship-first, execution-focused, and allergic to bureaucracy.
What We’re Looking For
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Operator / Integrator to join our team — a role equivalent in scope to a COO, but without the stuffiness.
If you’re a highly capable operational leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-stage environments and is ready to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of how the business actually runs, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
This person is not just setting direction — they are implementing it directly and working alongside our existing team to improve systems, build accountability, and lay the foundation for a scalable MSP.
What You’ll Actually Do
Own the day-to-day operations and keep things running smoothly, allowing the founders to stay focused on growing the business.
Untangle processes, reduce ticket escalations, and make sure teams are working together efficiently.
Put the right systems in place and establish meeting rhythms, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting loops (EOS or similar framework).
Review the org chart, bring clarity to roles and expectations, document them, and help people thrive in their lanes.
Help us grow smarter by spotting role gaps and knowing who to hire (and when).
Coach the current team by working closely with team leads and future leaders to support their development (not replace them).
Support growth in Anchorage: Ensure operational readiness to expand team and clients in our second market.
Who You Are
You've built or scaled an MSP (or similar IT services company) from 15–30+ people.
You lead with confidence, not ego — people trust you because you show up, follow through, and keep your word.
You don’t just spot problems, you roll up your sleeves and fix them. If a process doesn’t exist, you’ll build it.
You see disorder as an opportunity to build better systems.
You’re process-oriented but not rigid.
You can coach, document, track, and communicate effectively.
You may have used EOS, Traction, or similar systems — but you’re more focused on outcomes than buzzwords.
You put people first. People naturally listen, follow, and trust you because you lead with consistency and heart.
What You’ll Need
Ability to pass a basic background check for airport security badging
Valid driver’s license (or willingness to get one) and the ability to drive. Driver policies apply. Please note: we do not expect you to have a car.
Where You’ll Work
Ideally based in Alaska or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available).
Open to candidates in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Portland) who can travel 2–3x/month to Juneau and Anchorage.
This is NOT a fully remote position.
What’s In It For You
Full-time role
Salary: $115,000-$150,000 a year, negotiable depending on experience
Health insurance (with vision coverage)
Retirement plans
Mobile device plans reimbursement
Flexible scheduling policy
Work in Juneau , where meaningful work meets stunning nature with mountains, trails, and ocean right outside your door.
