SciTec is seeking a motivated Associate Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Engineer ready to launch their career in one of tech's most strategically valuable and rapidly growing specializations. The exceptional entry-level opportunity offers an accelerated learning path into MLOps. You will deploy and optimize machine learning models for mission-critical systems in both classified and unclassified environments, building technical skills that typically take years to develop elsewhere. Working alongside seasoned MLOps engineers, you will contribute to real-world projects that directly impact national security while gaining practical experience with advanced deployment strategies, containerization technologies, and infrastructure automation in a supportive environment designed to rapidly advance your technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in deploying and maintaining ML models in real-time environments
  • Support the development of modular and flexible ML pipelines that ensure uptime and reliability
  • Assist in building and managing infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools
  • Learn to optimize performance metrics like inference latency and system throughput
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and DevOps
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance at a minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in MLOps
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for learning
  • Excellent collaboration capabilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Candidates with the following skills will be preferred:

  • Relevant coursework in machine learning, cloud computing, or software engineering
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
  • Experience with Git
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts
  • Interest in cloud technologies or infrastructure-as-code
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts

The pay range for this position is $80,000- $94,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
